We believe the ministers of the church include all the baptized. Our catechism tells us the ministers of the church are "laypersons, bishops, priests and deacons."
We are made ministers by baptism, not by ordination. There are, of course, a number of ministries that make the church go. We invite and encourage everyone to listen to how the Holy Spirit is calling them to live into their baptismal ministry.
Perhaps your calling is to reach out to the least of these. Or maybe you're called to a ministry closer to home, perhaps equipping others for their ministry. Wherever you're called, there is a ministry opportunity at St. John's to live into that calling.
We covenanted in our baptisms to seek and serve Christ in all persons, loving our neighbors as ourselves, and we mean to do that.
