In February, St. Mark's invited people attending St. John's to participate in their inquirer's classes. Six people were welcomed to St. John's during Bishop Fisher's visit to St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Beaumont on 3.9.25. While they were already family, St. John's would like to officially welcome Allison and Paul, Bobbye, Jamie and Jesse, and Rae! St. John's would also like to thank everyone at St. Mark's for their warm welcome and for the unforgettable experience. We were also incredibly excited to celebrate with families as their children and youth were confirmed.
The church was full on January 10th, 2025 as family, friends, neighbors, and members of many different communities gathered to celebrate the life of Fr. John Johnson. The service included the following blessing from our bishop, "Life is short and we do not have much time to gladden the hearts of those who travel with us. So, be quick to love and make haste to be kind. And, the blessings of God Almighty, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit be upon you and remain with you always. Amen."

St. John's celebrated 70 years of ministry in Silsbee and Hardin County with a worship service and lunchon on Sunday, December 8, attended by current and former members and friends, some of whom traveled from across the state for the occasion.
It was in 1954 that a group of Episcopalians living in Silsbee petitioned the Bishop of Texas, the Rt. Rev. John Hines, to plant a mission church in Silsbee. The group began meeting first in homes and later in borrowed spaces. Our site on Roosevelt was acquired and initial building erected in the late 1950's. Our current worship space was added in the mid-1980's.
We invite you to explore a vibrant community dedicated to spiritual growth and fellowship. Whether you are new to the area or seeking a deeper connection to your faith, we invite you to join us for worship, study, and community events that foster a welcoming environment. Together, we strive to make a positive impact in our community and beyond.
We worship in a warm, casual atmosphere Sundays at 11 a.m.
We've learned that someone representing themselves to be Father John is calling area residents and asking them to buy gift cards for needy people.
Please warn your social media networks that St. John's is not calling people asking for gift cards, and be alert for other common scams.
